Abstract
This research study examines the unique aspects
of the YAP Ireland programme – namely the use of
community-based Advocates to improve the lives of
young people and their families. The strengths and
challenges associated with the Community-Based
Advocate Model are explored from the perspectives of
key stakeholders, including young people, their parents
or guardians, staff, and referrers.
