Abstract
This report presents findings on a retrospective study of the experiences of parents1
and Lead
Practitioners who participated in Meitheals initiated prior to 2017. This is complementary to the Meitheal
Process and Outcomes study, which is part of the overall evaluation of the Meitheal and Child and Family
Support Networks (CFSNs) model. A qualitative approach was used to gather the data for this research
study. The findings focus on participants’ views on taking part in the process and its perceived role in
addressing children’s, young people’s2, and families’ unmet needs, with some discussion about whether
the changes have been sustained.
