dc.description.abstract | The Discipline of Health Promotion at the National University of Ireland, Galway delivers a Postgraduate Diploma and Master¿s course in Health Promotion. While a core Research Methods module incorporates some teaching of evaluation research in health promotion, a need was identified for the further development of this component into a stand alone module. The main aim of this new module is to provide students with a greater understanding of the relationship between the evidence-base and research practice of evaluation in health promotion. A primary objective was to progress from the theoretical aspects of evaluation to incorporate evaluation research practice into delivery of the module. | en_US |
