| dc.description.abstract | E-Learning is no longer just about the materials burned on CD-ROMs and sent across the country. With the potential offered by the Internet, there are new on-line courses emerging every day. However successful they are, they still do not utilize the potential of online communities or semantic descriptions of learning objects. As a result, learning material is usually static and not adjustable for the specific needs of the learner. What is more, there is no simple way to reuse existing e-learning material. In this article we present how the concept of social semantic information sources can be adapted to the e-learning systems. We define a 2-layer learning objects enrichment architecture that allows interoperability between various e-learning systems. We present how dynamic courses can be delivered by utilizing user profile information. | en |
