Abstract
The latest models of low-end consumer digital cameras have begun to support A/V streaming directly to memory card. This greatly enhances the utility of the camera to an end user. In this paper we investigate techniques to provide a similar data storage service from camera directly to a wireless (802.11 WLAN) network server. Based on the results of our investigations a server- side application prototype is implemented which can reliably handle up to 3 concurrent connections from client devices at QVGA MJPEG frame rates up to 20 fps.
